The gentleman who owns the store was so nice to us. He was extremely helpful and made sure we did not buy duplicate books by accident when we put them in our pile.
He was very kind and indulgent to my kids and let us browse as long as we wanted. We will definitely return and buy more!
We stopped by this store on a whim today after finding it on google. The owner was so nice and extremely sweet to my kids. We found some great books for learning arabic for the kids and were very impressed by the volume of othee books and topics in the store. We will be returning soon to look and buy more!!!
I love this place just after one visit! What a wonderful store, I can't say enough! Run by the most sweetest old man who is truly in love with books and helping you make sure you find exactly what you're looking for- which by the way you'll definitely find whatever it is you need from here! Support small businesses! From tapes to Arabic cookbooks to Arabic writing books for kids- you'll leave with more than what you came for.
This is a really amazing place, the owner is extremely welcoming and kind. He was eager to help us find whatever we were looking for, including jewelry, and happy to answer all of our questions. He even offered us coffee when we came in. He knocked down the price of each item we bought and then applied another discount to the total sale, and on top of all that, he withheld the sales tax! The store's selection is very large, the books covering a wide range of topics mostly within the realms of religious and/or political works, although there is a robust language section as well. The vast majority of the store's book selection consists of Arabic-language works, but there are many interesting items printed in English as well, and even some in French and Spanish. You'll find the risalas of prominent shi'a maraji' in Arabic and in English, jurisprudence and philosophy works by 20th century greats like Allamah Tabatabae'i and Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, lesser-known publications by scholars local to Dearborn, and everything else you can think of. I highly recommend this shop to everyone, and will definitely be a repeat customer in the future!
I found this on Google and decided to check it out since it was down the street from a place I frequent.
I walked in looking for a decent Qur'an. After a minute, the gentleman in the store came over to see if I needed help. I told him I was looking for a Qur'an in English and Arabic, but I am leery of the English itself. He showed me several different ones he had and I opened and explained to him using ayah 51 of al-Maida.
He let me browse and when I checked out he praised my knowledge. He took $5 off my purchase and threw in a magnet of the Ka'aba for free.
